The SIVAC Initiative publishes a supplement on NITAGs in Vaccine
The SIVAC Initiative published a supplement to the scientific journal Vaccine, entitled "The Role of National Advisory Committees in Supporting Evidence-Based Decision Making for National Immunisation Programs" (volume 28, supplement 1, pp. A1-A110, 19 April 2010).
The supplement, developed in collaboration with partner countries and the WHO, is part of the Initiative's overall objective of supporting countries to enhance the use of evidence-based decision making in the establishment of immunization policies.

Indonesia expresses interest in collaborating with SIVAC
Following the SIVAC team's visit to Indonesia last March, the country's health authorities issued a letter of request seeking the SIVAC Initiative's support in the reinforcement of their National Independent Technical Advisory Group (NITAG).
Kenya finalizes the concept paper for its future NITAG
After last month's consensus meeting, the Kenya Division of Vaccines and Immunization (DVI) submitted the final concept paper presenting the country's future NITAG to Dr. Sharif, director of public health.
SIVAC recruits Prof. Helder Martins to facilitate the implementation of Mozambique's NITAG
The SIVAC team recruited Prof. Helder Martins, former Minister of Health of Mozambique, as an advisor to facilitate the development of Mozambique's future NITAG in collaboration with national experts and WHO-UNICEF.
