  MAJOR ACTIVITY 1

Establish a project infrastructure and partnerships that ensure maximum coordination with other global and regional efforts to improve evidence-based decision-making related to immunization policies and programs

Overview
Many partners and initiatives support strengthening national capacities for evidence-based decision-making processes in the field of vaccines and immunization. Therefore one objective is to align the SIVAC strategy and work plan with strategies and work plans of similar and complementary initiatives in order to maximize the relevance, effectiveness, and efficiency of our activities. This is done by increasing the number of interactions and establishing synergies with other players, tracking the updates of other initiatives, and updating yearly work plans accordingly. When necessary, SIVAC also will organize satellite meetings and specific workshops.
An External Technical Advisory Panel (ETAP), gathering relevant players from different independent organizations has been established in order to advise the SIVAC team throughout the duration of the project.
Another component of this Major Activity is the ongoing monitoring of the initiative. A mid-project evaluation and a final evaluation will also be conducted.

Schedule
This Major Activity - which also includes all global management and day to daily administration of the initiative - is an ongoing one.
